The Uraga Suke processing station is owned and operated by Tracon Coffee, an independent Exporter that manages various processing sites throughout southern Ethiopia.
At the Uraga Suke, naturals are processed with a focus on simplicity and attention to detail. Each day, contributing farmers deliver freshly-picked cherry to the station. Upon arrival, the cherries are hand-sorted and washed to ensure only those that are uniformly ripe and clean are accepted. After sorting, the cherries are weighed, logged, and placed directly onto raised beds for drying. This drying process can take between 8 to 25 days, depending on the weather.
The resulting coffee is fruit-forward, featuring notes of blackberry, orange, and a milk chocolate sweetness. We hope you enjoy it!
