This natural-processed lot comes from partnering farms located in the Veracruz growing region. APG Coffee, a family-owned exporter started by Antonio Perez Galvan, works with local farmers to provide technical assistance and guidance to ensure they follow best organic practices. The cherries in this lot are grown between 900 – 1200 masl in clay mineral soil. After harvest, they are delivered to the APG wet-mill, which has been redesigned to focus on lot separation and quality control. Cherries received at the APG wet-mill are meticulously sorted and floated to remove underripe and damaged coffee. The sorted cherries are then dried on raised beds for 15 to 20 days and stored in Grainpro cocoons until they are transported to the APG dry mill for milling and final preparation. This coffee enjoys personal care from farm to export.
Altura Veracruz is sweet and nutty with notes of cherry, strawberry, almond, and cacao nib. Its low acidity and balanced flavors make for a delicious early morning cup!
