Our tea sachets are made using Soilon, an innovative biodegradable filter mesh designed with sustainability and quality in mind. This material is composed of poly-lactic acid (PLA) filaments, derived from corn starch through a process of lactic fermentation and polymerization.
We chose these sachets because they are ideal for brewing tea, thanks to their excellent permeability and durability, which ensure the full release of flavors without compromising structural integrity. The material in the sachets can be easily processed by your local composting facility, by disposing of it in your “Food Waste” bin or delivering your compost to the facility. In soil, the material biodegrades completely over a few years as a typical home compost system does not reach the same high temperatures as an industrial one.
